We are excited to announce Halifax VegFest 2022 will take place on Sunday, October 23rd at the Light House Arts Centre. This fun-filled event celebrates healthy, sustainable, and compassionate living by sharing the benefits of a plant-based diet and vegan lifestyle with our community.
VegFests have become well-known festival events in many North American cities as people become aware of the positive health and environmental benefits of a plant-based lifestyle.
Partnering with Halifax VegFest means increased exposure for your organization, direct sales, and access to a large demographic of motivated consumers. Attendees come to Halifax VegFest to purchase new products, eat delicious food, learn from presentations, and enjoy a community atmosphere.
Exhibitor Benefits
Being an exhibitor at Halifax VegFest is an opportunity for you to receive widespread promotion for your business and interact with new customers directly. This event will allow you to showcase your products and services to over 2,500 attendees. This is not your average trade show. You will gain exposure to a growing population of motivated consumers interested in plant-based products and healthy living.
Below you will find everything you need to know about how to become an exhibitor and what is included in your exhibitor fee. Our team has expertise in event planning, markets, small business, and the local veg community. We have been organizing this event for many years and are committed to making this a positive and profitable experience for our exhibitors.
Festival Features
Halifax VegFest Society is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote and educate the public on the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle, while supporting local businesses, organizations, and other causes, through the hosting of an annual community festival.
Our guests spend the day at Halifax VegFest to learn and enjoy our presentations, activities, food, and fun!

Attendance
Halifax VegFest attracts a diverse group of individuals and families from Nova Scotia and the Maritimes who have a common interest and curiosity in vegan and vegetarian living, health, wellness, activism, and environmental sustainability. While the pandemic prevented us from hosting our normal festival in 2020 and 2021, our 2019 event was our biggest year yet with over 3,000 guests and 55 local exhibitors.
In 2021, we stayed connected with our community by presenting the Halifax VegFest Support Local Box. At a time when businesses were struggling, we offered a specially curated box of VegFest goodies, jam-packed with exhibitor products, coupons, prizes, and more, receiving excellent feedback from our business partners and customers alike. This year, we are more than ready to reconnect with our community for Halifax VegFest 2022.

Exhibitor Opportunities
Exhibitor rates are listed below, as well as terms and conditions for participation. We encourage you to book early, as space is limited!
Unloading & Setup
Exhibitors must unload and set up during at least one of the following dates and times:
Saturday, October 22, from 1:00 to 6:00 PM (the day prior)
Sunday, October 23, from 7:00 to 9:30 AM (the day of)
Instructions on where and how to unload will be communicated via email at a later date.
Note: We expect exhibitors to be fully set up and ready by 9:30 AM on Sunday, October 23rd. Please do not arrive at 10:00 AM. Please let us know if you will be late.

You must agree to these conditions for your application to be approved.
All products and services being sold, displayed, sampled, promoted and/or given away at Halifax VegFest must be completely vegan: contain no animal products (meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey, beeswax, leather, wool, silk, etc.) and not tested on animals. If you require clarification regarding this please contact us.
The Halifax VegFest planning committee reserve the right to decline any application that they feel does not match the purpose and ideology of the festival.
Exhibitors must set up during at least one of the following opportunities: Saturday, October 22, from 1:00 to 6:00 PM (the day prior); or, Sunday, October 23, from 7:00 to 9:30 AM (the day of). All exhibits must be staffed and ready by 9:30 AM.
Halifax VegFest does not accept responsibility for any lost, stolen, or damaged property that arises from your participation in Halifax VegFest in any way. This policy extends to any exhibitors who should choose to leave their items in the facility overnight by taking advantage of the day-before setup time on Saturday, October 22.
Equipment (i.e. dollies, carts, etc.) for the unloading, moving, or loading of displays and exhibits are not provided by Halifax VegFest and are the sole responsibility of the exhibitor.
Exhibitors must have their booth staffed throughout the entire length of the festival (from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm) and their displays may not be taken down until the festival closes at 5:00 pm, regardless of whether or not the exhibitor sells out of product. Removal of exhibitor property may begin after 5:00 pm and must be completed by 8:00 pm.
Exhibitors are responsible for the set-up and tear-down of their own displays. No materials may be left behind.
Exhibitors are responsible for bringing all items required for their booth with the exception of the items included in your booth purchase (table, chair, etc.)
Vendors planning to sell or sample food may require a temporary event permit. Click here for the provincial guidelines on temporary event food permits and how to apply.

If you would like to be put on the waitlist incase something comes up last minute, please continue to submit your application. You will only be contacted if a space becomes available.
We will contact you for payment once your application has been approved.
